TGT Urdu Exam Pattern and Important Topics


The TGT Urdu exam consists of three sections:


- Pedagogy (40%): This section tests your knowledge of teaching methods, educational psychology, and instructional planning.

- Urdu (40%): This section tests your knowledge of Urdu language, literature, and teaching methods.

- English (20%): This section tests your language skills, including synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, error correction, propositions, idioms, and one-word substitution.


_Pedagogy Section (40%)_


- Educational Psychology: Understanding human development and learning theories, applying psychological principles to teaching and learning.

- Class Room Management and Discipline: Creating a conducive learning environment, effective strategies for managing student behavior.

- Instructional Planning and Teaching Strategies: Setting learning objectives and outcomes, selecting appropriate teaching methods and materials.

- Students Evaluation and Examination System: Assessing student learning and progress, understanding different evaluation methods and tools.

- Educational Guidance and Counselling: Providing support for students' personal and academic needs, understanding guidance and counseling theories and techniques.


_Important Topics in Pedagogy_


- Bloom's Taxonomy: Understanding the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, applying Bloom's Taxonomy to instructional planning and assessment.

- Educational Philosophy: Understanding major philosophical perspectives on education, applying philosophical principles to teaching and learning.

- Teaching Methods: Understanding different teaching methods and approaches, selecting appropriate teaching methods for diverse learners.

- History of Education: Understanding the development of education throughout history, applying historical perspectives to current educational practices.

- Research Methodology: Understanding research methods and techniques, applying research findings to educational practices.


_Urdu Section (40%)_


- Urdu Language: Understanding Urdu grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.

- Urdu Literature: Understanding major literary works and authors in Urdu.

- Teaching Methods: Understanding effective teaching methods for Urdu language and literature.


_English Section (20%)_


- Synonyms: Understanding words with similar meanings.

- Antonyms: Understanding words with opposite meanings.

- Sentence Structure: Understanding grammar and sentence construction.

- Error Correction: Identifying and correcting errors in language usage.

- Propositions: Understanding phrases and clauses.

- Idioms: Understanding phrases with figurative meanings.

- One-word Substitution: Understanding words that can be used in place of phrases or sentences.
